I read for about two and a half hours this week. The book is really getting interesting. it turned out that I was right and Nate, the boy she met, did come back and play an important role in the book. He lives right behind Ruby's sister's house, so Jamie thought it would be a good idea for her to ride to school and back with Nate. She gets to know him a little and he gets to know her. He even took her to her old house to get some of her things, but never really said anything about it, even though the house was a wreck. Ruby ended up giving up on the idea of running away because she knew it was not the best thing for her. She got a job at the mall even though Cora was not so thrilled about it. She wanted Ruby to focus on school. Jamie and Cora want Ruby to go to college and Jamie brought it up to Ruby, but she had no interest whatsoever to go to college. I am really enjoying this book and am about half way done with it. This book and the other Sarah Dessen books I have read have made me curious about something. I want to know how many people actually read these books before they are published. In all of her books I have found at least two errors. I would think a lot of people read these before they are published, so i don't see how things like that are missed. Sometimes I think I am just reading them wrong, but I have showed my roommate, Liz, the errors in this book and she agrees they are definitely mistakes.
